Elizabeth’s Lingerie Boutique
The other day, I stopped by my friend Elizabeth’s lingerie boutique. I had brought several new Divaurae collections and upcoming seasonal designs so we could review the latest arrivals together.
Over coffee, we flipped through catalogs and discussed luxurious fabrics, innovative silhouettes, color palettes, and the ever-evolving desires of our clientele. As a designer, I am always fascinated by what people are searching for, which designs capture their imagination, and which pieces become true favorites.
The Divaurae story now spans more than two decades. Over the years, the brand’s lingerie, hosiery, accessories, and men’s collections have continuously evolved while maintaining a commitment to quality, comfort, and refined sensuality. It is always rewarding to see creations that once existed only as sketches and fabric swatches become part of someone’s personal story.
We were reviewing details of one of the newest collections when Elizabeth suddenly smiled and turned toward me.
Linda, look. They’re buying your collection.
I looked up.
An elegant couple was standing in front of the Divaurae display. The woman carried herself with effortless confidence and sophistication, while her husband appeared equally refined and clearly enjoyed sharing the shopping experience with her.
The lady began browsing through the Silk Gold Collection. She carefully examined the luxurious fabrics and shimmering golden details.
These are absolutely beautiful, she said.
Her husband stepped closer.
They really are elegant.
A few moments later, she selected a Gold Silk Panty and then added a Burlesque High Waist Gold Silk Hot Pant to her growing selection.
These will be perfect for our summer getaway, she smiled.
As they continued exploring, they stopped in front of the Oui Madame collection.
The lady picked up a Oui Madame Sheer Panty and turned toward Elizabeth.
Does this have a matching men’s top? We absolutely love coordinated pieces.
Elizabeth immediately nodded.
Of course. The Mensoul collection includes the matching Oui Madame Sheer Top.
Her husband smiled with interest.
That’s exactly what we’ve been looking for.
My husband loves elegant, lightweight, sheer designs, the lady added. We always enjoy finding pieces that complement one another.
Elizabeth showed them several additional styles.

Those are gorgeous, the gentleman replied.
The lady then lifted a Lace And Silk Garter Belt from the display.
I definitely want this as well.
A few steps later, she stopped in front of a beautiful silk robe displayed on a mannequin.
And I’m looking for a pink robe too.
Elizabeth smiled.

The lady gently ran her fingers across the luxurious silk fabric and immediately smiled.

She held the robe against herself and turned toward her husband.

Eventually, they made their way to the counter.
We’d also like stockings in two sizes, the lady told Elizabeth. A size 3 for me and a size 4 for my husband, both in black.
Elizabeth immediately began preparing the selected pieces.
We love when everything works together beautifully, the lady continued. The panties, tops, garter belts, stockings, robes, and accessories.
Many of these designs can also be custom-made to your measurements, Elizabeth explained.
That’s very important to us, the gentleman replied. We truly appreciate bespoke craftsmanship and a perfect fit.
As I watched them, a special feeling came over me.
As designers, we rarely have the opportunity to witness firsthand how our creations find their way into people’s lives. Pieces that once existed only as drawings, fabric samples, and ideas scattered across a design table were now being carefully selected by real customers.
Elizabeth looked at me once again.
It feels wonderful to see this, doesn’t it?
I smiled and nodded.
Yes.
Because there is no greater reward for a designer than seeing someone genuinely enjoy something you have created.
That morning, I witnessed exactly that: a couple naturally and joyfully discovering the world of Divaurae. Seeing those designs appreciated and enjoyed by real people remains one of the most rewarding moments in a designer’s journey.
