From Panty to Mask – The Hidden Face of Femininity and Desire

When I began designing lingerie years ago, I quickly discovered something profound: every fabric — whether silk, fine nylon, or delicate lace — carries within it a different facet of the feminine soul. At some point, I realized that these materials could create not only lingerie but something far more symbolic — the mask.
My first experiments began with panty fabrics. For clients with a fetish-oriented aesthetic, I created head masks where only the eyes and mouth remained visible. These were made from black lace, red silk, and other sensual materials — always in harmony with the colors and textures of the collection. To me, the mask was never just an accessory; it was a hidden yet powerful expression of feminine identity.
Later, I designed my own iconic mask, which I presented as part of the Scheherazade Collection. That collection celebrated the art of feminine storytelling — the blending of mystery and desire — and the mask became its perfect visual metaphor.

I have always believed that the true magic of a luxury lingerie collection lies not only in what we wear during the day, but also in what we choose at night — when a woman is alone with her own sensuality. In those intimate moments, the “panty mask” takes on a new role: it becomes an extension of intimacy itself.
The pandemic years brought an unexpected twist. For a time, I wore masks made from the same materials as my lingerie — playful, creative, and somewhat rebellious. But gradually, the meaning changed. The mask became a symbol of protection rather than passion, and its sensuality faded.
Recently, however, inspired by a Japanese friend, I rediscovered the deeper aesthetic of this idea. In Japan, the mask is not merely a tool for hiding but a form of self-expression — another layer of the personality, not its concealment. That insight gave me fresh inspiration, and now I feel it’s time to bring this symbolism back into my next collection.

In truth, both the mask and the veil can bring a new thrill to everyday life. During a romantic evening, at the cinema, through kisses and gentle touches, these accessories create an atmosphere of quiet intensity. Even at home, our loungewear can be transformed by adding a sheer, delicate mask or a soft lace veil.
The veil, after all, is itself a powerful symbol — one of surrender, femininity, and mystique. Crafted from the most exquisite lace and ethereal fabrics, it doesn’t hide; it suggests, entices, and envelops. It reveals the subtle magic that a woman carries within her own skin.
